The new TSW Series Tension Sensor are purpose-built online tension sensor for continuous measurement of running line tensions of wires, ropes and cables and similar process materials up to a diameter of 15 mm. Built-in signal conditioning with ZERO and SPAN pots provide a high-level, analog output to minimize the chance for signal interference.

Features

  • U-Grooved guide rollers 80 mm OD / 60 mm root diameter with easy-running ball-bearings
  • Radius of U-Groove offered in 3mm (standard), 5mm Code R2 or 8 mm (Code R3)
  • Tension sensor with integrated measuring amplifier provides 0-1V DC, 0-10V DC or 4-20mA output
  • Various digital output signals include USB, RS-232 and RS-422
  • Easy calibration to customized material by operator (using Zero & Gain Adjustment Pots)
  • Includes mechanical overload protection (200%)
  • Fabricated from Aluminum for use in tough production environments
  • 2 Mounting possibilities: via holes in front plate or cylindrical hole mounting
  • Requires power supply +15…24 V DC (regulated) or connection to SC-PM Tension Indicator
  • Front Plate dimensions of 550 mm width x 100 mm
  • Strain Gauge-based sensor provides accuracy of 1.5% Full Scale or better.
  • Custom-designs are possible along with special features such as air fitting to create positive internal pressure in the housing for protection against airborne chemicals or contaminants
