The Straightpoint COLT3 allows one to connect to the Straightpoint Clamp On Line Tensionmeter.
The COLT app is a free to download app for the COLT (clamp on line tension meter). The COLT app’s simple and easy-to-use interface will enable the operator to use the app with the utmost efficiency. Available to download from iOS or Android app stores.
A built-in magnetic smart device holder allows the COLT to be used as a traditional tension meter with on board display, allowing hands free, or the smartphone can be handheld or mounted elsewhere.
There are two different modes:
Wire Rope Mode:
- Measure wire rope tension on static lines, such as a guy lines
- Records GPS coordinates
- Logs the local temperature and windspeed from local NOAA
- Multi anchor data logging with camera mode
- Datalogging
- Car weighing – measure tension on each cable and automatically calculate car weight
- Car balancing – measure and calculate balance of load across up to 10 cables
The app features an unlimited database of wire rope sizes. As the library of wire rope diameters and constructions is increased each app user will benet when they update free of charge.
